Integral sailmaking and service sail loft in Mallorca

The Banks Sails loft in Palma de Mallorca has integrated old world craftsmanship , new machines , 800 square meters floor space and the best technology using Banks 2006 design programs plus the accuracy of a in house plotter to produce high quality racing and cruising sails , from a Optimist dinghy to Mega Yacht.
Who we are
Juan José Merayo, started sailing and racing in 1957 and as profesional sailmaker in 1975 working with North, Hood and as owner of Doyle Sailmakers Argentina till 2000. He invent design and patented Sock-Jib® a storm jib that can hoisted without lowering the furling genoa. In 2001 developed and patented Isable a furling mainsail with a slidings battens.
Juan José takes advantages of his experience working as sail consultant, testing sails and racing with costumers frequently.
Juan Ignacio Merayo, had his first Optimist when he was six years old, never stopped racing also in many world championships. He is an active Snipe and Beneteau 25 sailor. Juan Ignacio designs all our sails. At the present time he is using our new software for MEMBRANE sails.
Juan Pablo Merayo, 34 years old, started sailing when he was three month old. Active in local cruising racing. He is in charge of our in-house Plotter Cutter and production of the sails.
Sail loft location

We are in the Son Noguera Polígono. From Palma de Mallorca take the high way in the aero port direction to Llucmajor city. Drive more o less 20 minutes and you will see the poster of Son Noguera industrial Poligono.
